A BRIEF HISTORY OF SHILOH HILLS SCHOOL
Shiloh Hills School, a premier and highly reputable Group of schools was established in January, 1987 with about 100 pupils.
The vision of the school is to ensure a good upbringing of children by inculcating the virtues of the fear of God in the child.
The aim of the school is to establish a place of learning where knowledge is based first and foremost on Christian values. This is what informed the choice of the school motto: “Except The Lord”
Broadly, the aims of this institution are as follows:
1. To inculcate into the children: (i) The knowledge of the fear of God. (ii) The virtue of honesty and obedience (iii) Habit of diligence and hard work.
2. To be amongst the best schools in terms of the quality of teaching and learning.
The school started as NURSERY SCHOOL and was accorded approval and certified to operate in Rivers State. There was a demand by parents that a primary school be set up to take care of the pupils who had passed through the nursery school. Approval for setting up of the PRIMARY SCHOOL was given on the 14th May, 1997.
Shiloh Hills School, is a private educational system as a whole.
Shiloh Hills Secondary School is an offshoot of the Shiloh Hills School. The School started in 2006 in response to the request of parents for secondary education.
It is established on those lofty ideas that have brought pre-eminence to the Nursery and Primary Department of the Shiloh Hills School, namely the fear of God, truthfulness, and hard work.
The school is a coeducational institution and offers a range of courses based on the National Curriculum for both the Junior and Senior Secondary School.
There are fully equipped laboratories and workshops for instruction in computer studies, physics, chemistry, Biology, and Home Economics.
Shiloh Hills School is situated at No 31 Nembe Road, Rumuibekwe Housing estate. The property is wholly owned by the proprietor and is without any legal encumbrance or mortgage arrangement. It is centrally located and easily accessible due to its closeness to the Port Harcourt – Aba Expressway. The catchment area includes Shell Residential Area (Shell R.A), Rumuokwurusi, Oyigbo, Elelenwo, Woji, Rumuodara and Rumumasi, Trans Amadi, Elekahia, etc
Shiloh Hills School is fully accredited to organize and conduct both the Junior School Certificate Examinations and the Senior School Certificate Examinations.
